Software for finite element analysis

Ansys

With the pay-per-use system from CADFEM GmbH,

LICENSE AS A SERVICE is a cloud-based licensing service with usage-based billing. Uncomplicated access to Ansys licenses is possible at any time and as needed.

AUTODESK NASTRAN IN-CAD

A powerful solver (Nastran) integrated in Inventor professional. With Autodesk Inventor professional, it is possible simultaneously to perform FEM calculations during the CAD construction today with the built-in Nastran Solver.

FEMAP with Nastran (rental licence)  from Siemens

Minimize costly prototyping and bring your products to market faster by using advanced engineering simulation capabilities.

Femap is an advanced engineering simulation application for creating, editing and importing/re-using mesh-centric finite element analysis models of complex products or systems. You can use Femap to model components, assemblies or systems and to determine the behavioral response for a given operating environment.

In addition, Femap provides powerful data-driven and graphical results visualization and evaluation. You can combine Femap with a wide variety of CAD systems and finite element analysis solvers, including the industry-leading NX Nastran application, to deliver a comprehensive computer-aided engineering analysis solution that helps ensure that products perform as designed in real-world environments.

CALCULIX

CalculiX is a package designed to solve field problems. The method used is the finite element method.

With CalculiX Finite Element Models can be build, calculated and post-processed. The pre- and post-processor is an interactive 3D-tool using the openGL API. The solver is able to do linear and non-linear calculations. Static, dynamic and thermal solutions are available. Both programs can be used independently. Because the solver makes use of the abaqus input format it is possible to use commercial pre-processors as well. In turn the pre-processor is able to write mesh related data for nastran, abaqus, ansys, code-aster and for the free-cfd codes duns, ISAAC and OpenFOAM. A simple step reader is included. In addition external CAD interfaces are available. The program is designed to run on Unix platforms like Linux but also on MS-Windows.

Z88AURORA

Z88Aurora® is the graphical user interface for the finite element analysis program Z88, whose computational kernels have been developed since 1985 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Rieg (University of Bayreuth). It is a freeware software project. In addition to linear static strength analyzes , non-linear calculationsand stationary thermal and thermomechanical analyzes as well as natural vibration analyzes can also be carried out. contact module is also available.

Z88Arion

Z88Arion® is a structure optimization program based on the finite element analysis program Z88, whose calculation kernels have been developed since 1985 by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Frank Rieg (University of Bayreuth). It is a freeware software project. Currently one can perform a topology optimization with three different algorithms.
